Iām a captain for Michigan MagnUM and Iād like to shoutout a few of our B teamās seniors for the incredible job they have done both on and off the field for the program. This year our B team broke seed to finish 10th at Great Lakes regionals, while upsetting 6th-seed (and #39 overall in USAU) Purdue.
Adam Assink, #49: O-line handler, the heart and soul of our B team over the past four years. Heās an incredible leader who everyone in the program looks up to. As a player heās a big body who gets everything in the air, and yet is sneaky quick for a man his size. He can bomb a flick huck and break the mark inside and around.
Paul Vander, #24: Fast, lengthy downfield cutter. Takes the first cut every time and gets the disc every time. A stall nine punt to him tends to work out way more than stall nine punts should. Heās been on the O line ever since his freshman year, and has played most points on both lines in important games over the past three years.
Ryan Fattal, #61: Fastest guy youāll see on a frisbee field, let alone the developmental division. Can play anywhere, but his best position is just running deep from the handler space, where no one can keep up with him. Has powerful throws which really help in upwind scenarios. A really great all-around guy who you canāt help but root for.
Aaron Parsons, #58: Great leader and teacher. Everyone listens to him and respects what he has to say, and the freshman in the program improve a lot from asking him questions and listening to his feedback. On the field heās a all-around excellent handler with great break throws, and also a big body you simply canāt get around. Frustrates and shuts down smaller, quicker handlers with his excellent defensive positioning and body control.
These four guys left a lasting imprint on the Michigan Ultimate program and they deserve all the accolades they can get.
Graham āspeed assassinā Schneider is the best player of all time. Rumor has it he can fly, shoot laser beams out of his eyes, and has the ability to whisper sweet nothings into the ear of any opponent until they have no other option but to drop the disc on the ground. Graham ādestroyer of worldsā Schneider can also summon an army of snakes and light people on fire with the blink of his eye. Itās time for #GRAHAMAHAN2019
