The PDGA today released its coverage schedule of the Professional Disc Golf World Championship in Jeffersonville, Vermont, September 2-9, 2018.
Live coverage has been expanded for the event at Smugglers’ Notch Resort, with Smashboxx TV broadcasting both Open and Open Women lead cards starting Friday, September 7 during round 3. Terry Miller will be lead commentary and will have the PDGA’s Steve Hill providing reports from the sideline. Hannah McBeth will also be in the booth with Miller during FPO coverage, and Robert McCall will takeover for McBeth for MPO.
Jomez Productions and Central Coast Disc Golf will be on site cranking out next-day videos, with Jomez taking both MPO and FPO lead cards. Nate Sexton and Jeremy Koling will continue to voice commentary on MPO videos, and Madison Walker and Lisa Fajkus are jumping behind the mics during FPO. Ian Anderson and Cory Murrell of CCDG will run commentary on the MPO chase card footage the crew collects and edits.
The PDGA will also be putting out “daily round recap videos that will mix quick-cut highlights with player interviews and stats breakdowns” via YouTube and social media with the help of the video production teams in attendance.
As is the standard now at premier events, UDisc Live will handle all scoring and stats.
Photography duties will be shared between Alyssa Van Lanen Images, Bob Carey Photo, Overstable Studios, and Chad “Corduroy” LeFevre.
On the homefront, Ultiworld will be at Smuggs every day of Pro Worlds delivering news, analysis, and episodes of our podcast, The Upshot.
A full schedule of events for Pro Worlds week can be found here. The Mixed Doubles competition kicks things off Sunday, September 2nd.
