Ultiworld Disc Golf’s coverage of the 2021 PDGA Pro World Championships is presented by Skybreed Discs, a top online retailer and preferred vendor of the 2021 Ledgestone Insurance Open, and Aria Discs, a new disc golf brand making discs designed for beginners.

As the Open Women’s division moved over to Mulligans for round two, the scores dropped low with the golf course in play.

  • Paige Pierce only hit 50% of her Circle 1X putts (3-of-6), finished with a bogey, and had a couple of OB strokes, but she added to her early lead by throwing the hot round 8-under to moved to 11-under par total, four strokes clear of the field. Pierce came up big from C2, connecting four times for birdie from outside 10 meters to score better than her drives were putting her in position for. The 1018-rated effort has Pierce averaging 1009 golf over the opening two rounds.
  • Lisa Fajkus and Catrina Allen kept pace with Pierce with their own 1009-rated 7-under par second rounds. Fajkus was the only player in the division to finish bogey-free, and she showed off the same touch on the golf course she used to capture a win at the Challenge at Goat Hill earlier this season. She was 100% from C1X and hit two C2 putts as well. Allen made her money off the tee, leading the division in fairway hits (94%) and finding C2 in regulation (89%). The duo are tied in second place at 7-under par.
  • Tied in fourth at 5-under par total are Hailey King and Kristin Tattar. Tattar took a minute to get off the mark and looked a bit hesitant for much of the front 9. She turned it on going 5-under par with no bogeys over the final 10 holes, making three C2 putts in the process. King, on the other hand, started well by going 5-down over the first 11 holes. A triple-bogey 7 on hole 15, however, included two OB strokes and derailed the strong scoring day.
  • Ella Hansen was eating up the fairways at Mulligans. She had a division leading 61% C1 in regulation rate and 9.4 strokes gained from tee-to-green, three strokes higher than the next best player. Hansen’s putting continues to show its inexperience.
