The Valparaiso CHD team brought only 8 ladies to their conference tournament and still fought their way to another Nationals birth. Juniors Mackenzie Allen, Jordan Bauer, and Jordan Essiner have led their team to a tournament win at Illinois Invite, and now a conference win.
At Illinois Invite the girls intimidated themselves to a championship. The other team asked the score of their previous game which was 10-3. Then the team proceeded to forfeited because they were in disbelief of how many upwind scores CHD had scored in the 35-55mph wind.
This trio of juniors has the throws, and the cuts to play with anyone.
Katie Bast was a senior captain and overall stud this year for the North Park Allihopa team, she played nearly every point at conference and was a threat on both offense and defense. Jessie Rosell was a sophomore this year and emerged as the go to cutter for the Allihopa team. She consistently was able to burn defenders both under and deep. Both should be strongly considered for the all region honors because of their leadership and skills shown through out the season.
