The Pro Masters 40+ division started its first of three rounds on the Brewster Ridge Gold layout with Dave Feldberg getting out to a slim lead. Feldberg shot the only bogey-free round and is 2-under after 18. Eight players, including Steve Rico, Barry Schultz, and JohnE McCray, are within three strokes of the lead as the 53-player field moves to Fox Run Meadows Wednesday for the first of three rounds there.
Pro Masters Women 40+ had the tall task of navigating Fox Run’s Blue layout in the whipping wins Tuesday afternoon. It’s similar to the men, as six of the nine players in the division are within two shots of the lead. Switzerland’s Natalie Holloköi and Courtney McCoy share the top spot at 23-over par. McCoy’s five pars were best on a day that recorded zero birdies.
Kevin Babbit is up one on Ron Convers and Tom Carrillo in Pro Masters 50+, Eric Rainey is ahead in Pro Masters 55+, Dave Greenwell is well ahead of Pro Masters 60+, Alan Beavers is in control of Pro Masters 65+, Dr. Rick Voakes has Pro Masters 70+, Pete May in Pro Masters 75+, and Carlos Rigby and Donald Stephens are tied in Pro Masters 80+.
Pam Reineke is up in Pro Masters Women 55+ and Laurie Cloyes-Chupa is tops in Pro Masters Women 60+.
Weather conditions will improve for Wednesday and beyond, but rain is still in the forecast for several days.
