Ultiworld Disc Golf’s coverage of the 2019 Las Vegas Challenge is presented by Innova Discs; all opinions are those of the authors.
Players at the Las Vegas Challenge looked like they hadn’t missed a beat over the offseason. The first PDGA National Tour event gave us highlights aplenty
JomezPro, Central Coast Disc Golf, Gatekeeper Media, and the Disc Golf Guy were on site to capture these throws, which we’ve broken down by course for easier digesting.
Infinite Discs Course (Round 1)
James Conrad didn’t want to putt on hole 16.
Paige Bjerkaas and Jessica Weese making this shot on hole 7 look easy.
Bjerkass gets world champ love.
Paige Pierce past the basket on a 453-foot hole.
Ricky Wysocki drew metal on hole 15.
Pretty good putts from Paul McBeth, Simon Lizotte, and Lisa Fajkus.
Innova Factory Store Course (Round 3)
You’ve probably already seen Andrew Presnell’s skip ace.
The mounds at Wildhorse Golf Club make for interesting approaches.
The open holes need love too.
Joel Freeman wanted this.
They got these.
Innova Discs Course (Rounds 2 & 4)
This throw-in from Weese is basically an ace.
And another near ace from Lizotte.
Time elapsed on this Chris Shotwell roller: a lot.
We may see a lot of class Nova shots from Anthony Barela this year.
Calvin Heimburg was tearing up air shots on day two.
Putts were also falling for the whole field.
Final round brought the best out in a lot of players.
So many good putts during the final that we can’t pick out our favorite.
That’s a lie, our favorite is Bjerkaas’ winner.
