Monthly Dime: 10 Things We Loved In February & March

Originally published at: https://discgolf.ultiworld.com/2019/04/04/monthly-dime-10-things-loved-february-march/

Disc golf, professional and otherwise, is getting bigger all the time and that means it’s busier than ever. It can be hard to keep up with everything. That’s where our Monthly Dime comes in, where we find and review 10 of the best and sometimes random disc golf related things that caught our attention each month. While we won’t pretend to be able to provide a comprehensive accounting of everything that has happened, we’ll do our best to keep this both informative and fun.

1. Listen, we know we’re behind a month, but we still wanted to share some things from February. Much respect to the Chattanooga disc golf scene for putting this short documentary together. Worth the time for sure.

Welcome to The Sinks – A Film about Chattanooga Disc Golf

2. While it was great learning about the work that’s gone into courses like the Sinks, we won’t kid ourselves and say we wouldn’t prefer more money and resources getting pulled-in by local governments to help out the cause. Alvin, Texas will be getting a lighted disc golf course in the future and just had the funding approved.

3. Several fun In The Bags have dropped. Our favorite is from Keaton, but don’t sleep on Jalle Stoor’s.

4. The other In The Bags were good, but is this the best DIY disc golf bag? Or disc golf bucket?

Check out the disc changer!

5. Shoutout to 22252 disclife for getting round coverage of the Crush on the Concho but we can’t get over JAMES CONRAD’S HAT.

6. Nice dye job, and for an even better surprise. The disc golf disc proposal.

Got proposed to while doing my favorite thing in the world with this beautiful gem. I am beyond happy 😍 from discgolf

7. With all the pros putting out media, we’ve really appreciated Paige Pierce’s new series, Nice Line.

8. We have no idea what’s happening here. Good job, Sam Ferres.

That’s how it’s done…

9. Can’t forget about this NPR radio story on the new course going in near Pittsburgh at North Boundary Park.

10. A last-minute entry from Central Coast Disc Golf who introduced a couple of new video features on the Daniel Boe Memorial coverage. The mando animations were nice, but the distance to pin is even better.
