It’s the night before the season and if you’re itching for live disc golf coverage, satisfy that urge with a little look back at last season’s battle in the desert.
I advise you to tune in to coverage from the 2020 Las Vegas Challenge. It’s an incredible re-watch.
The event feels like it took place nearly two years ago. The sport, and much of the world, were unaffected by the Covid-19 pandemic that paused and plagued all professional sports just a few weeks after the event. The galleries and lack of masks are an immediate realization of how different the world is from a year ago.
There was a ton of MPO coverage. Central Coast Disc Golf, GK Pro, and Gatekeeper Media all filmed four rounds with a variety of great players on every card, including some young Europeans’ first time on U.S. cameras.
Highlights of the tournament coverage include:
- An incredible 432 albatross Ace by GG, seen above.
- The introduction of Tristan Tanner and the slowest walk up in disc golf.
- One of the best final round battles of the season between GG and Nate Sexton. It was also the last time we got to see Sexton on camera in 2020.
