Winds were swirling for much of moving day at the Preserve Championship, and it caused a lot of movement in the top 5.

  • Day one leader Kristin Tattar was slow out of the gate on Saturday with back-to-back bogeys on holes 4 and 5. From there, however, she started showing off the big putt energy from the final round at last weekend’s Great Lakes Open. Two Circle 2 birdies on holes 6 and 8 bookended a turkey, and she added another long distance birdie on hole 13. Tattar was bogey-free and 7-under over the final 13 holes to give her a 6-under par round and total score of 13-under par total, seven strokes clear of the field. She’s first or second in every major driving category on UDisc Live, as well as strokes gained putting.
  • Hailey King used a clean back 9 to shoot a 4-under par round and move up two spots into second place at 6-under par total. King was able to convert 4-of-5 scramble attempts to limit the mistakes and push her into podium contention.
  • Paige Pierce shot a 3-under par to move three spots into fourth at 3-under par total, one stroke behind third place Sarah Hokom at 4-under par. Pierce didn’t two-putt inside C1 until hole 18, and led the division in the round with strokes gained from tee-to-green at 7.42.
  • Rebecca Cox is in position for her best finish since a podium at Texas States in late March. She is currently in seventh place at 1-over par, one stroke behind Catrina Allen.
