Tyyni1 bills itself as “the Biggest Disc Golf Event in Europe,” and with close to 1,000 players registered across 16 divisions, the seventh edition of the event is proving to be the Finnish Glass Blown Open.

We’re of course focusing on the Open divisions, and a bundle of top players from both the US and Europe are in attendance including Eagle McMahon, Simon Lizotte, Seppo Paju, Silver Latt, and Kristin Tattar. Last year, Ricky Wysocki took the win in MPO, but will not be in attendance this year, ditto Catrina Allen in FPO. We’ll also not see Eveliina Salonen or Henna Blomroos; it’ll be a couple weeks until the two are playing again at the European Open.

Wysocki led a group of four Americans, all rated 1016 or higher, to finish in the top five last season, and averaged 1060-rated golf in the process. This year there are more than twice as many 1000+ rated players in the division, with Americans only accounting for two of those spots. Tattar will look to avenge her second place showing from 2018 and maintain her undefeated season.

The Open and Open Women’s field will play three different courses over the three days of the tournament. Action kicks off on the Nevas ball golf course Thursday, before moving to the Ford Disc Golf Park Friday, and Sibbe for the final round Saturday.
